DEVELOPER GUIDE

Watchlists & freshness

Onboard companies and understand collection and delivery timing.

Watchlist onboarding

An owner or administrator with account:read and account:write can add a ticker. The examples below change the organization watchlist and can queue ingestion; do not run them as a read-only connection test. FilingSift resolves it against the cached SEC issuer directory. All plans reuse existing indexed filings of any age and can request bounded asynchronous retrieval when eligible coverage is missing. Onboarding queues only supported forms, caps discovery at 25 filings and two historical submission files, and exposes queue and indexing state through GET /coverage. Company limits, concurrent-onboarding limits and the independent processing lookback still apply; a successful queued response does not mean extraction has finished.

Freshness contract

The SEC worker restarts one minute after each bounded run completes, plus randomized delay, and has an operating target of discovery within five minutes of SEC acceptance. Extraction and customer delivery follow asynchronously. Selected New York Fed, Treasury and Federal Reserve Board routes query stored history. Source updates are checked twice each weekday for New York Fed, after each weekday for Treasury, and daily for quarterly SLOOS releases. Historical revision checks are bounded; inspect each response’s coverage and source timestamps. The historical reference library serves stored FDIC, OFR, BIS, GLEIF and Treasury Fiscal Data records, with scheduled source checks and dataset-specific coverage. Existing interactive reference tools also fetch from the provider on the first eligible cache miss: five minutes for FDIC, GLEIF, and Treasury Fiscal Data; fifteen minutes for OFR; and six hours for BIS. Scheduled source updates are separate from customer alerts. Treasury, Federal Reserve Board, OFR, BIS, New York Fed averages and Index, the FDIC and GLEIF expansion datasets, and the Treasury Fiscal combined report have no deployed saved monitor.

Alert mode instant makes a processed alert due for the next ingestion monitoring stage; quiet hours, worker capacity, and provider retries can defer the attempt. A saved-check interval is the next eligibility time after a successful check, not guaranteed completion; the reference worker evaluates at most five due watches every five minutes. Operating targets do not establish current performance. Clients should read GET /coverage/status for rolling 30-day production sample counts and p50/p95 across acceptance, discovery, extraction, and provider-accepted instant email. Null percentiles mean the population is unmeasured; provider acceptance is not inbox receipt.
